Personally I support Toyota, although it looks very bad that they apparently tried to cover things up. I think that's the part that will play the worst of all.
How can we trust Toyota if they hide their mistakes and only admit to them when the big scandal comes. I am surprised that as a point of honor Toyota executives are not committing seppuku (spelling?).
I've heard of that many times when there has been a scandal.

Another thing that doesn't play well is that they are closing the NUMMI plant in Fremont California which Toyota originally promised they would not do.
They are putting many American workers out of business and apparently they don't have to do it.

Apparently they can afford to keep the plant open, they might just have to do different things.
