First of all, thanks for your heart-warming reply! 　 I really appreciate it.

I just wanted to say that if you find somebody's advice offensive and apparently with the intention to mock you, you can just ignore it and don't have to respond back. 　In many cases, they are just trying to see your reaction, and if they see that you don't care, that would be game over for them, OK? On the other hand, if you responded back, then they would see that their "efforts" were successful and may even escalate, that is, they may try to hurt you even more.
