It feels like a long time because you want to see him so much.
The faster you want time to pass, the slower it does.
You have been waiting and waiting there to see him. But not an hour has passed on a clock, even though you want badly for it to fly by.
When a gay sits with a handsome man for an hour, it seems like a minute.
